Built by ACF in 1954 for the City of Portland and Challenger Streamliner trains. Ex Union Pacific 7003.

On AT, the car was configured with 36 seats on the lower level and 24 seats in the dome.

To AT 703 in 1973. To James E Strates Shows 1981. To C P Huntington Chapter NRHS in 1982 and assigned Amtrak Private Car number 800377 for use with Amtrak trains. To UP 7003 then to HUNX 7003 during 1993 due to a dispute with the UP. To Wisconsin Southern in 2001 for business train service. Rebuilt in 2003 by Avalon Rail for Charter Manufacturing as CHARTER CLUB.

I once worked for an automobile parts manufacturer, and that company was concerned about the import car parts market. So they hired an advertising agency to put a slide show together to promote import car parts to customers. This was one of the slides used in that sales promotion. It was a Chicago, Illinois based company, so this was likely shot in a Chicago rail yard, I'm guessing around 1977. Anyone recognize the automobiles, please leave a comment to help pinpoint the year.
