Sunrise at Praia Do Albandeira, in the south of Portugal
In the blue expanse of the Algarve, the Albandeira Arch stands like a masterpiece sculpted by time, where the sea whispers stories of eternity and the wind sings secrets of ages past. This natural gateway, sculpted by the patience of the waves and the delicacy of the breeze, invites us to reflect on the grandeur of nature and the smallness of our existence. It's a moment when the horizon becomes infinite and the senses surrender to the charm of this piece of the world.
Made it to Pau Beach and treated myself to a fruity cider before turning round and heading back.
According to AllTrails this was a 10k hike from Senhora da Rocha beach to Pau Beach.
As long as I kept the sea to my left I couldn't get lost...

There were quite a few beaches that would have been nice if it wasn't for all the smelly seaweed that had washed up on them...
According to AllTrails this was a 10k hike from Senhora da Rocha beach to Pau Beach.
As long as I kept the sea to my left I couldn't get lost...
There were a few points where the path lead away from the sea and then to complicate things would split in two with no indication as to which was the right one.
Inevitably I'd pick the wrong way on more than one occasion and end up walking into a dead end.
I didn't mind. I had plenty of time to get to places I didn't need to be. 25°, plenty of water and snacks in the backpack and good podcasts to listen too.
There were quite a few beaches that would have been nice if it wasn't for all the smelly seaweed that had washed up on them...

Una delle tappe assolutamente da non perdere è l'Arco Albandeira. Questo famoso arco nell'acqua è una delle immagini più rappresentative del sud del Portogallo e, anche se non sai ancora dove si trova, di sicuro avrai già avuto modo di vederlo: è infatti una delle attrazioni più fotografate!
Mientras recorríamos esta zona del Algarve (playa Albandeira), sobre su icónico arco, una pareja de enamorados se hacía su reportaje fotográfico al atardecer con dron incluido.
Y a veces, las casualidades se dan y esperas y esperas que alguien se quite del encuadre que has elegido para aprovechar la convergencia de unas nubes en V y un cielo espectacular, y la magia sucede cuando te decides a aprovechar los segundos del absorto "guiri", que permaneció inmovil, contemplando el maravilloso espectáculo que tenía delante de sus ojos.
Y sin pensarlo, conseguí esta panorámica de dos fotos horizontales.
Ahí se plantó y si espero, se me van las nubes que corrían rápidamente.
Conclusión y moraleja, si tienes una cámara en las manos o en el trípode, no pierdas la ocasión, los momentos son únicos e irrepetibles. No lo olvides.
