I had long saved the portrait of this beautiful Arabian, whom I had the opportunity to meet at a stud farm in Egypt and who seemed to be a little surprised by my presence (at least that's how he looked), for such an occasion.
And then I lost sight of the picture.
But what the hell, now he's back and gets his appearance.
I'll leave it to your imagination to see what's going through his mind here and what would be appropriate for Monday morning.
This has already proven to be very productive several times.

This funny looking fellow is my favourite of the Arabian foals at Marbach. As you can see he was about to shed his baby coat when I took this photo. I think this shows quite well that with every change of coat the young Arabian horses also change colour. This foal will get grey or even white when he grows up.
Obviously this is another one of the Arabian horses at Marbach, a mare. She is in a herd with other mares who don't have foals and they have a huge pasture. Mares with foals have their own stable and pasture and the stallions are kept separate anyway. I think especially the mares have a good life as they can spend most of the day outside and among other horses.
Here is one of several Arabian foals I met at Marbach. It's always a delight to see them but taking photos wasn't easy this time as they were on a pasture with very long grass in which the foals almost disappeared. :) I managed some nice photos, though, and you will see more of them in the near future.
I spent some time at Marbach yesterday ! Those of you who have followed my photostream for years know that Marbach is the state stud of Baden-Wuerttemberg and they are famous for their Arabian horses. This is how an Arabian mare greeted me when I arrived at their pasture ...
Happy Tongue Tuesday !:)
