North American B-25J Mitchell bomber in service as 44-31004 with the US Army Air Forces.

She used to be displayed outside with some rather nice artwork on her nose etc.

These days she has the marks 02292 on her tail and a rather reserved scheme. Perhaps she is a work in progress.

Bell HH-1N 158551 used to be displayed in her US Navy red and white rescue markings. These days she is painted to represent a VIP helicopter as used by US Presidents.

Built as a Douglas C-47B in 1945 and later converted or upgraded to VIP config as a VC-47D.

Pictured with the battleship USS Alabama in the background and wearing 76276 she is actually number 44-76326 and has apparently been with the museum since 1971.

She was flown into here at Battleship Memorial Park in 1972, presumably via a water landing in the nearby bay.

Battleship Park in Mobile Alabama hosts some thirty aircraft exhibits.

This is a Sikorsky model 55 made to represent an HO4S-3G of the US Coast Guard number 1258.

The type was known as the S-55, HRS-2 and then redesignated as the H-19 after 1962.

She is wearing the serial number 1258 although the helicopter served with the US Marine Corp as 130151.
