Fun Challenge. I have not done a card in a while and just recently ordered some water color paper so it was meant to be, lol. So glad to see this group is still here and thriving!!!!

I was inspired by the many water coloured cards that have been made lately!!
I am also entering this card into this weeks Less is More Challenge Flowers. simplylessismoore.blogspot.com.au/ and a2z Scrapbooking Supplies Blog
Unfortunately I needed to make 2 sympathy cards. They were both pretty similar but very slightly different. I entered this in Virginia's View Water Color Challenge. I used the inexpensive big tray of water color paints from Joanne's or Michael's. The plants are from HA set Earth Flowers (CL428) and the sentiment from the HA With Sympathy set (CL476). The plant inks are Hero Arts Soft Brown and Soft Sand.
My mojo is a little off at the moment so I thought to inspire myself with one of Jacqueline's cards seen here www.flickr.com/photos/25616484@N08/8589178458/,
When I made this a couple of days ago I wasn't entirely happy, so I left it sitting on my desk. But once I came back and had another look at it, then added a little yellow ink, I am more happy with it.

This is my entry into this months Hero Arts challenge and the new fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com/2013/04/fusion-hypothesi....
I used the Hero Arts Wreath of Leaves CG215 Field Greens shadow ink, then stamped one of the flowers from the Earth Flowers set CL428 in Butter Bar and Orange Soda shadow inks. The sentiment is from See D's stamps. Added some gems as well.

I created this for the color challenge part of this month's contest.
I stamped all of the shells with Antique Engraving HA set (CL383). The grass I stamped with Earth Flowers HA set (CL428). The sand was stamped with an older Stampin Up stamp. The sand and water was cut with a Creative Memories tool. Distress inks mustard seed and spiced marigold were used on the background. I used pool, soft apricot, soft olive and soft sand Hero Arts inks.
I am going to add a sentiment later when I decide what to use the card for.
I stamped the dandelions with HA CL428 and mixed black and gold embossing powder together. It took a few tries to get the right flower and right mix. The little flowers are from HA CL342 & CL498 they are just black embossing powder. The Thank You is from HA CL509. The papers are from a DCWV small matstack called Cafe Mediterranean.
Inspired off pinterest, I loved the row of tags.
Alternate view of my Upcycled Autumn Goodie Jar & Matching Card. This view shows a close-up of one of the butterflies on the side of the Upcycled Goodie Jar. It shows the glitter, sparkle, and shine!
Thanks for looking! :-)
The goodie jar is made from a recycled plastic rice container. The background is made from 90# cold-pressed watercolor paper colored with Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks. Fiskars Sunburst border punch.
I stamped music from Hero Arts CG279 Musical Clef cling set onto the background using Tea Dye Distress Ink. Next I stamped a long botanical grass or willow image from Hero Arts CL428 Earth Flowers using Wild Honey Distress Ink. Then I stamped a spiky fern leaf from Hero Arts CL457 Real Leaves using Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. The "You are someone special" sentiment is from Hero Arts CL578 Good Friends and is stamped using Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
The butterflies are from Hero Arts CL383 Antique Engravings and are stamped on Glossy Paper using Ranger Archival Ink in jet black. Then they were colored using Spiced Marmalade (orange), Mustard Seed (yellow), and Shabby Shutters (green) Distress Inks. Next, I spread a layer of Crystal Stickles glitter glue over top of the butterflies. This gives them a lot of shine and sparkle! The butterflies are attached to the goodie jar and matching card using foam squares for dimension.
The lid of the goodie jar is made from a thin sheet of craft aluminum and has been embossed with a sunflower design. Once embossed, the reverse side was filled with DAP lightweight spackling compound to keep its shape. Then the metal was trimmed with titanium scissors. Next, the lid was altered with lemonade, peach bellini, and terra cotta alcohol inks from Ranger. It is attached to the original plastic lid using Glossy Accents as glue. I adhered natural colored lace from Blumenthal Lansing Company all the way around the top of the lid using 1" glue lines from Glue Dots.

Alternate view of my Upcycled Autumn Goodie Jar & Matching Card. This view shows the shine of the butterfly on the card. All of the butterflies are equally shiny, but it is hard to capture in photographs. Makes a nice contrast with the matte finish of the rest of the set.
