Today has been a beautiful winter's day, and I have photographed many special birds in the snow.
I went with a friend to photograph some stunning shore larks for the first time (fjellerker in Norwegian), that visit Jæren now. We also found several other birds that I haven't photographed in the snow before.
I rarely take the time to load photos to my Mac before the card is full, which it wasn't today, but you can find screenshots from today in my stories on Facebook and Instagram for 21 more hours.
But I have edited a pretty new coal tit (Periparus ater) in the snow instead, by my parents' feeders in November.
I look forward to a new beautiful day among birds in the snow on my birthday tomorrow, before the rain will come next week.

A European robin (Erithacus rubecula) on the only snow day we have had here in western Norway this winter, two weeks ago.
Now I am on my way to spend the whole day in the concert hall in Stavanger, to sing on a Christmas concert together with several known Norwegian artists.
Have a nice second Sunday of Advent!

Usual signs of very early spring – female flower of common hazel (Coryllus avellana). I've found a single one during Christmas, now more are blooming, although still a minority.
Zwyczajowe pierwsze oznaki nadchodzącego przedwiośnia – żeński kwiat leszczyny pospolitej (Coryllus avellana). Pojedynczego pierwszego znalazłem w Boże Narodzenie, teraz kwitnie już wiele, choć ciągle mniejszość.
