The Kjeåsen railway bridge, or the Stembrua as it is called among the locals, is a splendid specimen of old stone bridges still in use by the railway. The name Stembrua came about because it is built over the Stemmen, the narrow passage through which the Oseid water flows into Toke. The bridge is a masterpiece of engineering built in the first half of the 1920s. It is part of the stretch of the Southern country line from Lunde to Neslandsvatn which was opened in 1927 and was electrified in 1943.
The railway enters the Kjeåsen tunnel at the end of the bridge on the North side.
