"Going Green" is a quote from the movie "Twister" and it is an actual weather phenomenon in which violent storms can generate a ghastly green tint in the sky. Here in Fairfax we only saw the outer fringes of the system that produced serious tornadoes yesterday throughout the Midwest and South. Sadly those same areas may see more of the same over the next few days. Hold a good thought for those unlucky folks.
