Built during the Ming Dynasty, it was the place for the Wang clan to worship their ancestors and sages. One of the most important buildings in Hongcun and located on one side of the Half Moon Pond.
My earlier pics were of the bigger pond outside the village of Hongcun. This pond is located is located within the village and was featured in the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" movie.
One of our bike rides in Acadia took us past Halfmoon Pond, which was covered with lily pads...
