Morizo & Kiccoro were the mascot characters of the EXPO 2005 Aichi Japan. The EXPO 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park will reopen as a new city park appropriate for the lifestyles of the 21st century. The new park administration will make most use of the experience it gained here when the site served as the main venue for the EXPO, continuing the principles and achievements of the EXPO. The 10th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10) will be held in Nagoya, Aichi in October 2010. There will also be a satellite event area set up at the EXPO 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park.
