Ex-Cross Country HST Power Car 43357 leads the 1Q23 test train through Longniddry on the Glasgow QS to Newcastle return leg. The low winter back lighting has washed out most of the colour on the train.
Colas liveried power car 43257 was on the rear.
43468 & 43480 at Longniddry with 0Z43 0900 Kings Norton - Millerhill.
To complete the set, Mk 111 DVT 82139 Heads the Drem - Edinburgh ECS (3Z87) past Lochhill with 87002 propelling.
Looking immaculate in its InterCity Swallow livery, 87002 "Royal Sovereign" propels the ECS from Drem back to Edinburgh Waverley (3Z87) past Lochhill, near Longniddry

34067 "Tangmere" rushes through Longniddry station with 1Z58 (Christmas Charter returning to York from Edinburgh}.
The Bardic lamp has been removed as it had a bright blue halo.
Not the best day for a steam trip from York to Edinburgh and return as Storm Bert hit. As it happened the worst of the snow, rain and wind had sibsided by the time the tour (1Z73) passed Longniddry, 4 minutes early behind Stanier Black Five 45407.
Hitachi 807006, fresh out of works in Avanti West Coast livery, passes Longniddry whilst on delivery from Darlington to Wembly Inter City depot (5Q16). The route was ECML (Darlington - Edinburgh) then WCML (Edinbugh - Wembly) taking 13hrs - 10mins.
To complete the picture, the short formed LSL Blue Pullman approaching Longniddry station with the returning Fort William - Potters Bar (1Z46) charter. The weather was exactly the same as the northbound journey on Friday, full overcast.
Continuing the "blue" theme. LSL's short Blue Pullman set hammers past Longniddry whilst working 1Z43 (Potters Bar - Fort William) charter. There were still autumn colours about but light levels were very low.
In its fresh "Drax Power Station 50" livery, 66301 approaches Longniddry station with 6E45, Fort William to North Blyth empty alumina tanks.
Red amongst the green. 66150, in DB red, leads the morning Mossend Euroterminal to Tees Dock BSC Export Berth (4E96) intermodal working through Longniddry in a lucky patch of sun. The July weather has not been condusive to getting lineside so this was refreshing to get out.
Good to see and hear a 37 growling along in the sun. 37403 "Isle of Mull" approches Longniddry station with a Bo'ness Jn Exchange Sdg to Barrow Hill L.I.P. working (5Z37).
