Me competing with Mona Lisa over who can strike the most non-committal smile. She remains undefeated.

Whenever I get a comment on one of my older pictures, it leads me to see if it needs a redux, or if there are other pictures in the archives that deserve to be resurrected.
In this case, I had taken a series of shots of Deanna to illustrate one of my Powerpoint presentations. But, after the comment, I realized I had not posted a straight-forward, nice portrait of her. Which is a shame and I have now corrected the oversight. You can see the other shots of her in this album.

And the title comes from a vague similarity of her expression to that of a famous painting. I only noticed it when I was processing the image.

"Hats can make a statement and many of us, unused to wearing something on our heads, can feel conspicuous wearing them. Finding a hat that reflects your personal style will make a hat feel more 'you' and therefore more comfortable."
The same could be said about the wearing of masks, which is now compulsory in shops, public buildings and on public transport in many countries. Finding your own personal face covering can make the situation a little less stressful which is why I have made masks in a variety of colours and patterns, one for every occasion, outfit and season.
