This member of the Leaf-footed bug family may be found in the south eastern parts of Australia, between Brisbane and Melbourne.
It is photographed here on the fruit of a sweet pittosporum shrub Pittosporum undulatum which is showing the sort of damage that is associated with this bug.

Why use a telephoto to capture a landscape?
Reason being, at ƒ/5.6 with a 600 mm lens, I was able to use a shallow DOF to draw attention to the subject. Whereas, if I captured the same scene in a single capture with a wide angle lens, EVERYTHING would be in sharp focus.
