The Nap Nook, a space lined with big recliners, marketed as a place for students to nap during the day. If only a place like this had existed here when I was a student.

This is a reconstruction of a pulpit probably made ~1478-86, probably a gift of Bp. Peter Courtenay, then serving @ Exeter. The original was removed in the 19th century, but not before it had been meticulously drawn by Rev, Sabine Baring-Gould in 1851. When B.-G. revisited the church some 30 years later, the pulpit was gone. He made inquiries & discovered some fragments which were used in the reconstruction, carried out by Herbert Read, the go-to man for restorations of church furniture in Devon @ that time. Old wood is still partly colored, but the new pieces were left plain. The paintings of saints are replacements.
