Come downtown! by Tim Kiser

Come downtown!

Here, a perfect alignment between our preconceptions of what we would see in downtown Hartford, were we to visit downtown Hartford; and what we actually see in downtown Hartford when we visit there.

-----------------------

In downtown Hartford, Connecticut, on September 23rd, 2021, on the south side of Morgan Street South (U.S. Route 44), east of Main Street.

The buildings are "contributing properties" to the Department Store Historic District, 95000284 on the National Register of Historic Places. From right to left: the former G. Fox & Company Building (with yellow bricks, built 1918, designed by Cass Gilbert); the G. Fox & Company Warehouse (built 1918, later remodeled); and (I think?) an expansion of the warehouse, built 1930 and later converted to a parking garage.
