Teruntum Merah
Eine küstennahe bis 25m hohe Mangrovenart die zu den Flügelsamengewächsen gehört, rote Blüten⌀ ca. 5mm, Kelchlänge ca. 10-30mm, die immergrünen, ledrigen, spatelförmigen Blätter sind an der Spitze eingekerbt und stehen gegenständig, der Baum bildet typische Atemwurzeln sogenannte Pneumatophoren und dient u.a.dem Erosionsschutz.
