Lagoa do Fogo is a crater lake in Portugal on the Azores island of São Miguel. The lake is located in the centre of the island at an altitude of 575 metres in the inner caldera of the Água de Pau stratovolcano and was formed in 1563 after an eruption of Pico da Sapateira, which has not existed since.
