During the annual Old Spanish Days Fiesta in the city of Santa Barbara, there are evening dance performances in The Sunken Gardens of the Courthouse complex.
The event is called Las Noches de Ronda, "Nights of Gaiety", featuring many talented Spanish Dance and Mexican Dance troupes. They come from other California cities, even dance groups from Mexico perform at the production.
This year we were blessed with an exceptional and beautiful sunset just before the start of the festivities. Absolutely spectacular!
Viva La Fiesta Santa Barbara!
I had the distinct honor of photographing the wedding of Mikki and Thomas this Saturday in Carlsbad. This is one of the many shots that I got for them and I'll be posting some of them here as I finish the post production work on them.

There is nothing better than capturing the 'Human Element' in a photo.
When this family came running past me and my tripod with their kites I immediately KNEW I had a special opportunity for something special in my series of shots!
In the background is Santa Cruz Island, part of Channel Islands National Park.
