VW Reichspost-Kübel

A rare Volkswagen Typ 28 light truck pictured on the bank of a river on a sunny winter's day. The vehicle's distinctive front-mounted spare wheel is missing in the photo. The black number plate reads as follows: B = British Zone of Occupation, R = Rhineland, 10 = Oberpostdirektionsbezirks Düsseldorf (Postal District of Düsseldorf).

Country of origin: Germany

Mystery solved: the photo was taken on the bank of the River Rhine near the village of Vynen – see below. Thank you, Kaïopai°!
