Fort Barfoot Fire and Emergency Services personnel manage a prescribed burn along with the staff from Natural Resources Division of the Fort Barfoot Department of Public Works March 12, 2025, at Fort Barfoot, Virginia. The prescribed burn helped to support military training by reducing fuel loads in the area, thereby lessening the risk for dangerous and intense wildfires that can be caused by incendiary devices and lead to training downtime. Other objectives of the burn were to improve wildlife habitat and timber stand improvement in forest management areas. Former Air Canada Vanguard CF-TKW was acquired by Europe Aéro Service as F-BTOV and initially operated in basic Air Canada colours.
It was seen coming in on runway 25 at Orly, now sporting the new EAS livery that was adopted with the Caravelle. F-BTOV was one of the very few EAS Vanguards receiving the new livery.
In 1981 it as withdrawn from use, and after a short stint in Indonesia, was permantly stored and eventually broken-up at Perpignan, France, sometime after 1987.
