But was on a Class 172 going from Birmingham New Street to Bromsgrove (on the Hereford line).

I went for lunch at a pub along the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. The walk up the flight of locks was very pleasant and there were several lock cottages along the way. Here is a Quintessential English Scene of the canal and one of the cottages.

Was hoping to get the new wetland lake at the Birmingham Life Sciences Park to the right of here, a view I spotted from the train going down to Longbridge.

A walk down Tardebigge Locks is a great way to pass a few hours .It's the longest flight of locks in the UK with 30 narrow locks over 3.6km along the Worcester and Birmingham Canal
