Japanese Shinto believes their wishes can be realized if they write their wish inside the lantern and they hang the lantern on this temple building. so many residential Japanese attempts to apply to hang their lanterns on this shintos' wish stands. their wishes are mostly related with "Money", "Education", "Occupation" or "Success" and so on. maybe Japan is compromised with religiously shinto or buddhism.
