Giant River Frog, Limnonectes leprinus (Andersson, 1923) [Dicroglossidae; Dicroglossinae], from Kubah National Park, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia (Borneo).
This is the largest frog species in Borneo, with a maximum size of 175 mm in males and 125 mm in females (Inger et al. 2017). Like many other species in this genus it is sexually dimorphic, and males are larger than females.
Lesser Swamp Frog, Limnonectes paramacrodon (Inger, 1966) [Dicroglossidae; Dicroglossinae], from Kubah National Park, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia (Borneo).
This is one of the species I encountered at all three of the regions of Kuching (Santubong, Kubah and Bau) that I visited during my recent trip to Borneo. I also found it in association with a variety of habitats including smaller streams, rivers and coastal wetlands.
