Era veramente da un'era geologica che inseguivo questo treno.
Certo il sogno comprendeva anche la 1110 prima e forse ancor di più le 1014 dopo, ma mi va più che bene anche la Vectron in livrea aziendale.

Se la scorsa settimana mi ero concentrato sul paesaggio, questa volta il soggetto principale è un bel deviato del Semmering

Zum Tagesabschluss wurde noch der Motivklassiker zwischen Windischgarsten und Spital am Pyhrn umgesetzt. Bei Gleinkerau ergibt sich dieser schöne Blick auf den Großen Pyhrgas - mit 2.244 Metern der höchste Gipfel und Westpfeiler der Haller Mauern. Dieser zeigte sich am 27. April 2024 noch schneebedeckt, da der April in diesem Jahre recht kühl und unbeständig war. Im Tal hingegen war die Natur schon so weit, dass das erste Heu gemäht und eingefahren werden konnte. Optimale Bedingungen also für die Umsetzung des REX 3914 nach Linz HBF, der an diesem Tage von der 1144.208 gezogen wurde. So kam der Tag an der Pyhrnbahn, der überaus erfolgreich war, auch noch zu einem guten Abschluss. Ein Dank geht an die getroffenen Fotografen aus diversen Ländern, die allesamt sehr freundlich und auskunftsfreudig waren.

At the end of the day, the classic motif between Windischgarsten and Spital am Pyhrn was realized. Near Gleinkerau, you have this beautiful view of the Great Pyhrgas - at 2,244 meters the highest peak and western pillar of the Haller Mauern. It was still covered in snow on April 27, 2024, as April was quite cool and unstable this year. In the valley, on the other hand, nature had already reached the point where the first hay could be mown and brought in. Optimal conditions for a picture of REX 3914 to Linz main station, which was hauled by 1144.208 on this day. So the day on the Pyhrnbahn, which was extremely successful, came to a good end. Regulär auf der Pyhrnbahn verkehrt der sogenannte Wenzel-KLV. Diese Leistung wurde in der Vergangenheit spektakulär bespannt, unvergessen sind die Einsätze der Loks der Baureihen 1110 oder 1014 von der längst insolventen Firma Zeller Transporttechnik. Inzwischen werden zwei Vectrons der Weco Rail eingesetzt, die im Design der Spedition Wenzel Logistics gehalten sind. Am 27. April 2024 war der TEC 41909 von Neuss Gbf nach Kalsdorf-Terminal vor der Planzeit unterwegs und konnte bei besten Lichtverhältnissen zwischen Windischgarsten und Spital am Pyhrn fotografiert werden.

The so-called Wenzel intermodal train runs regularly on the Pyhrnbahn. This service was spectacularly hauled in the past; the use of locomotives of the 1110 or 1014 series from the long since insolvent company Zeller Transporttechnik is unforgotten. In the meantime, two Vectrons from Weco Rail are used, which are in the design of the Wenzel Logistics transport company. On April 27, 2024, TEC 41909 was on its way from Neuss shunting yard to Kalsdorf-Terminal before the scheduled time and could be photographed in the best light conditions between Windischgarsten and Spital am Pyhrn.

Bei Gleinkerau ergibt sich dieser schöne Blick auf den Großen Pyhrgas. Mit 2.244 Metern ist dieser der höchste Gipfel und Westpfeiler der Haller Mauern. Dank niedriger Temperaturen und eines Wintereinbruchs Anfang des Monats zeigte er sich am 27. April 2024 noch schneebedeckt. Im Tal hingegen war die Natur schon so weit, dass das erste Heu gemäht und eingefahren werden konnte. In dieser malerischen Szenerie konnte ich den 4024.055 auf seiner Fahrt als REX 3994 nach Linz HBF einfangen.

This beautiful view of the Great Pyhrgas can be seen near Gleinkerau. At 2,244 meters, this is the highest peak and western pillar of the Haller Mauern. Thanks to low temperatures and the onset of winter at the beginning of the month, it was still covered in snow on April 27, 2024. Railjets sind seltene Gäste auf der Pyhrnbahn. Eine Besonderheit der Semmeringsperre 2024 war, dass diesmal auch tagsüber Fernverkehr über Selzthal und Linz umgeleitet wurde. Dabei handelte es sich um das Railjet Zugpaar RJ 132 / 133. Am 27. April 2024 konnte ich die 1216.020 schiebend am RJ 132 "Gondoliere" von Venezia Santa Lucia nach Wien HBF bei Gleinkerau fotografieren. Dass es sich hierbei um einen "Nachschuss" handelt, erkennt man gar nicht, denn erfreulicherweise wurden beim Taurus die Rollos hinter der Frontscheibe nicht komplett herunter gezogen und beim Fahrtrichtungswechsel der Stromabnehmer nicht gewechselt. So kann man sich der Illusion hingeben, dass die Lok führend sei.

Railjets are rare guests on the Pyhrnbahn. A special feature of the 2024 Semmering closure was that this time long-distance traffic was also diverted via Selzthal and Linz during the day. This involved the Railjet train pair RJ 132 / 133. On April 27, 2024, I was able to photograph 1216.020 pushing the RJ 132 “Gondoliere” from Venezia Santa Lucia to Vienna main station near Gleinkerau. You can't tell that this is an “after-shot” because, fortunately, the blinds behind the front windows of the Taurus were not completely pulled down and the pantograph was not changed when the direction of travel was changed. This gives the illusion that the locomotive is leading.

Die 1293.178 und 1016.008 bespannten am 27. April 2024 den G 54593 von Linz Vbf nach Villach Süd. Mit acht Waggons war dieser Zug recht kurz, aber vermutlich schwer. Bei Gleinkerau konnte ich die planmäßig auf der Pyhnrbahn verkehrende Leistung fotografieren.

ÖBB's 1293.178 and 1016.008 hauled the G 54593 from Linz shunting yard to Villach South on April 27, 2024. With eight wagons, this train was quite short, but presumably heavy. At Gleinkerau I was able to photograph the mixed freight train which can be seen regularly on the Pyhnrbahn.

Eine interessante Leistung gab es am Nachmittag des 27. April 2024 auf der Pyhrnbahn zu sehen. Eine Dreifach-Traktion, bestehend aus der ZSSK 383 203 und den für die CD Cargo fahrenden 193 769 und 758, beförderte den Autotransportzug 46791 von Dobrá u Frýdku-Místku in Tschechien nach Koper Tovorna. Aufgrund der Sperre der Semmeringbahn wurde die Leistung über Linz und Selzthal umgeleitet. Ladegut waren Hyundai Tucsons aus tschechischer Fertigung. Zwischen Windischgarsten und Spital am Pyhrn konnte ich den fotogenen Zug mit dem schneebedeckten Sengsengebirge im Hintergrund fotografieren.

An interesting freight train could be seen on the Pyhrnbahn on the afternoon of April 27, 2024. A triple traction consisting of ZSSK 383 203 and 193 769 and 758, operating for CD Cargo, hauled car transport train 46791 from Dobrá u Frýdku-Místku in the Czech Republic to Koper Tovorna. Due to the closure of the Semmering, the service was diverted via Linz and Selzthal. The freight was Hyundai Tucsons from Czech production. Between Windischgarsten and Spital am Pyhrn I was able to photograph the photogenic train with the snow-covered mountains in the background.

Einen klassischen gemischten Güterzug konnte ich am Nachmittag des 27. April 2024 zwischen Windischgarsten und Spital am Pyhrn fotografieren. Es handelte sich dabei um den aufgrund der Bauarbeiten am Semmering umgeleiteten DG 54703 von Wien Kledering nach Graz Verschiebebahnhof. Die Zugloks waren die 1144.220 und 111. Im Hintergrund ist das verschneite Sengsengebirge zu sehen.

I was able to photograph a classic mixed freight train between Windischgarsten and Spital am Pyhrn on the afternoon of April 27, 2024. This was DG 54703, which ran from Vienna Kledering to Graz shunting yard and which was rerouted via Linz and Selzthal due to the construction work at the track over the Semmering pass. The locomotives were 1144.220 and 111. The snow-covered Sengsengebirge mountains can be seen in the background.

Wie die Zeit vergeht....der hier gezeigte 4024.004 war zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt auch bereits 20 Jahre auf österreichischen Schienen unterwegs und hatte bereits sein erstes Re-Design erhalten. Die äußere Gestaltung für die S-Bahn Oberösterreich wirkt dabei durchaus gefällig. Am 27. April 2024 war besagter Talent-Triebzug als REX 3907 von Linz nach Selzthal unterwegs und konnte von mir kurz vor Spital am Phyrn in der frühlingshaften Landschaft des Traunviertels fotografiert werden.

How time flies....The 4024.004 shown here had also been on Austrian rails for 20 years at the time the photo was taken and had already received its first redesign. The exterior design for the S-Bahn Upper Austria looks quite appealing. On April 27, 2024, the aforementioned Talent trainset was on its way from Linz to Selzthal as REX 3907 and I was able to photograph it just before Spital am Phyrn in the spring-like landscape.

Dank eines Kreuzungsaufenthaltes in Windischgarsten war mir am 27. April 2024 ein zweites Bild des umgeleiteten KGAG 43601 von Bratislava-Petrzalka nach Koper Tovorna vergönnt. Kurz vor Spital am Pyhrn konnte ich den von 1016.044 und 1116.142 geführten Containerzug mit dem noch schneebedeckten Sengsengebirge im Hintergrund aufnehmen.

Thanks to a crossing stop in Windischgarsten, I was granted a second picture of the diverted KGAG 43601 from Bratislava-Petrzalka to Koper Tovorna on April 27, 2024. Shortly before Spital am Pyhrn I was able to photograph the container train led by 1016.044 and 1116.142 with the still snow-covered Sengsengebirge in the background.

che però è transitato sotto un diluvio epocale, ormai zuppi da una 4 giorni parecchio bagata, ci siamo detti che magari, aspettando giusto un ultimo quarto d'ora prima di iniziare il lungo rientro verso casa, sarebbe potuto uscire almeno un raggio di Sole visto l'arrivo di un merci d'eccezione.
Quella che poteva sembrare una battuta si è rivelata essere una fortunata previsione, e la comparsa dell'arcobaleno ha incorniciato la scena.

Tra gli obiettivi falliti di quest'anno c'era quello di incrementare l'archivio di 1142 delle ÖBB che sono ormai sempre più rare e sporadiche.

Ogni volta che vado per deviati mi ritrovo l'Inno Freight da Schwarzenau per St. Michael in mezzo ai binari, tant'è che nemmeno so più quale sia la sua rotta ordinaria :-)

...e non perchè fosse un deviato in occasione della chiusura della Ferrovia dei Tauri, bensì perchè dal cambio orario di metà Dicembre tutti i Colonia - Trieste non verranno più effettuati dalle società RTC/Lokomotion.

..dopo aver postato il casellino abbandonato a Terme di Brennero, ecco un'altra catapecchia che farebbe invidia a qualsiasi appassionato di ferrovia, anche se il suo stato di conservazione è decisamente peggiore.

Appena tornato dall'incredibile evento dei treni deviati sulla Rodolfiana e sulla Ferrovia del Pyhrn, in attesa di metter mano alle nuove foto, sfoglio l'album dei ricordi con un treno di una analoga spedizione del passato con una composizione che sembra ricordare inequivocabilmente quelle del passato.

Uno dei posti dell'Austria che più mi è entrato nel cuore è proprio il curvone tra Spital am Pyhrn e Windischgarsten.
Dalla foto non si capisce quale sia il meraviglioso panorama alle spalle del fotografo, ma si può apprezzare la tranquillità della zona circostante interrotta soltanto dal lento sferragliare di qualche treno sulla Pyhrnbahn.
