CN's President's Island crew takes the transfer train from the NS to CN Johnston Yard via the BNSF's Thayer South Sub. UP's ILCNS heads for a transfer to the NS with engine 4653 in the lead as it approaches the signals. Having come into Memphis as NS 391, UP 9100 waits in the distance to take this transfer to Pine Bluff as MMEPBB.

The NS 391 has turned over to the UP and become the MMEPBB as it passes empty BNSF coal train E-MHSBKM0-52A stopped at CN Junction.

BNSF 6070 holds at CN Junction with the empty coal train E MHSBKM0 52A on BNSF main 2. The Union Pacific train MMEPBB comes off the NS main onto the UP main led by UP 4169.
UP MMEPBB is leaving the NS east main and is now on the UP main heading west out of Memphis. The track merges into the end of the CSX mainline near Kentucky Street.
The Norfolk Southern has tied down the NS 391 train at Tower 17 in downtown Memphis. Once a Union Pacific crew arrives the train will head west and become the UP MMEPBB.
As the sun begins to set in Memphis, BNSF 4583 leads UP's MMEPBB west with a transfer from the Norfolk Southern that came into town as the NS 391.
The NS 391 has now become the UP MMEPBB as it leaves the NS main and slips onto the UP main at the CN crossing on Broadway in Memphis.

In 2005, the MMEPBB stops at the dwarf signal to allow the MMEPB ahead of it to clear the bridge. New condos are being built in the background for the railfan who wants to be by the tracks 24/7 in Downtown Memphis.
An unpatched Cotton Belt GP60 rolls westbound on the UP Memphis Sub with the MMEPBB train as the BNSF MEMKCK train heads in the same direction on BNSF Thayer South Sub main 1.
Looks like an added stack on top of this SSW GP60 but it's actually from the plant in the background, as the UP MMEPBB train rolls by the Arkilite facilities in Edmondson, Arkansas.

The 391 train approaches Highland Street on the NS Memphis District West End as it passes through the campus of the University of Memphis. The train will exchange to the UP and become the MMEPBB.
The UP MMEPBB heads west on the UP main after coming into Memphis as NS 391. The train snakes through the utility poles of Broadway after exchanging at Tower 17.
