Another view of my walk through the local nature reserve, on that frosty January morning - two weeks ago.
Though small, the nature reserve "Gemene Weidebeek" near Bruges is very beautiful, with trails along meadows, brooks, pools and over small hills. There are birds to be spotted. No wonder it's a popular place for walkers, though I didn't meet many on this morning, giving me lots of photo opportunities.
This is the full view of the Museum Gevaert-Minne in Sint-Martens-Latem, even though the building is partly hidden by mature trees. I have given further explanation about the museum under my previous photo. The artist George Gevaert designed the house for himself, his wife Maria Minne and their eleven children! He was not only a painter, but also a writer, a poet and a composer. Clearly a very active man!
The house is now a museum where Gevaert's works and works by other painters of the famous "School of Flanders" are on display.
