I had never even heard of this butterfly before. Found it deep in a riparian forest by the lake edge. All I knew then was that it was something different. Hard to get a shot and only one was good enough to keep and get an id. Pretty little thing.

The splendid ochre is a lovely little native butterfly within family Hesperiidae, known commonly as the skippers.
Larvae have been observed feeding on native Lomandra species.
Wingspan around 45 mm.
