Una noche de abril, bajo la leve llovizna en la que estuvimos inmersos intermitentemente durante varios días, esta pareja de Lechuzones Mochos Grandes nos regalaron una hora, quizás más, de vocalizaciones y actividad sobre nuestro campamento.
One April night, under the light drizzle in which we were intermittently immersed for several days, this pair of Spectacled Owls gave us an hour, perhaps more, of vocalizations and activity over our camp.

Very large spectacular owl of humid evergreen forest in tropical lowlands and foothills. Often roosts at low to middle levels, usually well hidden in shady spots, and flushes easily.

Broke our journey home from our New Forest weekend at the Hawk Conservancy Trust near Andover. Really impressed with the work they do, the way the birds are kept - and yet more novel ways to show and learn more about them.
Quite a crowd to work around all trying to photograph this beauty.
