Farsh Elias

Aerial scenic view of Farsh Elias basin from above Moses Mountain 'Jebel Musa'. Showing the orchard and cypress trees of the mountain basin of Farsh Elias in the foreground.
At the edge of the basin is a relatively large church, known as the Church of Elijah. According to traditions, Moses and Elijah probably visited the same place where they had a vision.

The mountains of Sinai surrounding Saint Catherine are packed with many religious history and symbolism.

Shot before the beginning of the 3,000 steps of the Stairway of Repentance that lead down to St. Catherine's Monastery. It is also below the 750 final steps to the summit.

Sunset hues

Sunsets are visually pleasing with their blend of warm and vibrant colors that emerge as the sun dips below the horizon.
A source of inspiration and spiritual insight for people around the world. These daily events offer more than just visual beauty; they provide a gateway to deeper understanding and connection.

Passionate photographers, artists, poets, and philosophers have long been inspired by the hues of a sunset, capturing its essence in their works.

Tiger by arthurpolly

Tiger

Has always been my favourite animal. I had three encounters with these magnificent animals. The first was a long distance view lasting at least 30-40mins. Watched him stalking a deer only to see him spook his prey! The second encounter was very close in very thick brush and he was asleep. This one, the third encounter was by far the best opportunity. Unfortunately I couldn't get a full 'head on' face shot . . . or a roar!

Luxor sunrise ballooning

A panoramic framing of hot air ballooning before sunrise, the most magical time of day for passionate photographers. Shot from Luxor west bank, one of the world's largest open-air museums. On the left side, two massive statues 'the colossi of Memnon' give us some scale to the picture.

Abu Galum hiking trail

There are several hiking trails within Abu Galum nature reserve.
A secluded national park located about 15km north of Dahab only accessible by boat or by foot.
One of the most stunning hikes is between Ras Abu Galum and the Blue Hole taking you alongside crystal clear water, via secluded beaches, stunning landscapes backed by mountains.
The trail is about 7.21 miles, with a maximum elevation of 144 ft and has an easy to moderate difficulty level. It usually takes two and a half hours to complete this hike and gives you fantastic views.
