Sheds , Hut or Outhouses !
Well I knew immediately what my subject was , but the challenge was to get the shot !!
Back to my dry cleaning days and there was a thunderbox in the garden behind the shot - BUT , I retired 8 years ago and there has been a change or two in who is running the shop since then . So , I had to try and blag my way into the back and the person on the counter is unknown to me - " I will have to ask my boss " was the reply , Luckily the voice on the end of the phone was a familiar one and one who I worked with for 3 months before leaving and he well knew me and my photography and gave the go ahead !!
What we have here under all this ivy is an old thunderbox , or should I say an outside toilet as was the norm back in Victorian days which is the times the premises were built in . I think in those days and for some time it was a greengrocers back in the day .
Anyway , loos are all indoors now so the old outside lavvy was obsolete and removed and the hole in the floor concreted over . So in my time and today the locked old outhouse is a good place to store the still waste before collection for treatment along with any other odd bits and bobs like steps and the like .

Flowers decorate the old 'thunderbox' lavatory in the kitchen garden at the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
In 2018, the Imperial War Museum designated the room as a 'Living Memorial' to the gardeners of Heligan who went off to the Great War in 1914, many never to return. The walls of the thunderbox carry contemporaneous graffiti and signatures of some of those men.
or wind from elsewhere ;-)
