Pacific National's 2nd series X class X41 is stabled at Kensington while on grain mill duties on 24-11-15.
X41 was introduced to service on 9-7-1970. It was painted into the Pacific National scheme as shown on 7-11-05 and was scrapped at Dynon in early May 2019.

V/line second series X class, X44 is stabled at Echuca loco amongst a rail tractor and the old water tower in the afternoon of 20-4-2000

Freight Australia's X49 has recently been repainted and modified to driver only operation. A couple of noticeable modifications were the altered nose top and relocation of the horns to behind the back of the cab. The loco also was fitted with a toilet on the B end.
