This curious little visitor is a Carolina Wren, perched proudly on a jagged stump in my backyard. These birds may be small, but they’re packed with personality and volume—often filling the air with their bold, whistling songs. I loved how the natural textures of the wood and the soft, blurred background really helped this wren stand out. Captured with my Nikon D500 and the 200-500mm zoom, handheld.
Supermarine Spitfire PV202, photographed at IWM, wears the striking “Johnnie Walker” livery – a tribute to Group Captain ‘Johnnie’ Walker, who flew Spitfire ML365 marked JW. This two-seat variant has a storied past and now honours both aviation heritage and the iconic whisky brand, with the famous striding man logo painted on its flanks. A flying blend of history and character.
