While the development work at Gatwick Airport station continues, platforms 5 and 6 have re-opened after resurfacing and other works. Ironically, since Covid19, traffic levels and patterns have changed such that the project may not realise its full benefits, not least because Gatwick Express trains from Victoria no longer reverse here, but continue to Brighton.
The train hauled by 20142 consisted of maroon mark 1 coaches.
3872 is a 1954 built Tourist Open Second (TSO), withdrawn by BR in 1984.
