Zürich-Kloten (ZRH/LSZH)
28 January 1984
After leasing a trio of BAC-111s from British operators in the seventies, Cyprus Airways ordered three new-built BAC-111-500s, which were registered 5B-DAG, 5B-DAH and 5B-DAJ, and were delivered 1977, 1978 and 1980.
5A-DAG was subsequently seen on the regular scheduled service from Larnaca to Zürich, arriving on runway 14 and sporting Cyprus Airways' livery of that time.
All three One-Elevens were sold to Nationwide Airlines in early 1995, with 5B-DAG becoming ZS-NUH. Nationwide operated the aircraft until early 2001, when it was retired at Lanseria, and broken-up there in 2005.

By 1988 XX919 was one of the last operational BAC One-Elevens still flying that hadn't been fitted with a hushkit. Being a military aircraft it wasn't subject to quite such strict regulations as civil machines, and in fact was never hushkitted, flying with its original unmodified engines until it was retired in 1997.

British Airways Flight 5390:
On June 10, 1990, while being flown for British Airways, this aircraft was involved in an incident where the front left windscreen blew out, partially sucking the captain out of the aircraft, where he remained until landing!

Lasham, UK - 22 May 1988
VR-CBX had arrived at Lasham a couple of weeks earlier, presumably for maintenance. Although registered in the Cayman Islands it was based in the UAE, and was supposed to have been re-registered A6-RAK at the same time (VR-CBX appears to be on a sticker over the new registration). Apparently there were problems in de/re-registering it, however, and it left the following month still as VR-CBX.
