After leasing a trio of BAC-111s from British operators in the seventies, Cyprus Airways ordered three new-built BAC-111-500s, which were registered 5B-DAG, 5B-DAH and 5B-DAJ, and were delivered 1977, 1978 and 1980.

5A-DAG was subsequently seen on the regular scheduled service from Larnaca to Zürich, arriving on runway 14 and sporting Cyprus Airways' livery of that time.

All three One-Elevens were sold to Nationwide Airlines in early 1995, with 5B-DAG becoming ZS-NUH. Nationwide operated the aircraft until early 2001, when it was retired at Lanseria, and broken-up there in 2005.

Delivered in 1969 to Court Line. Leased to Cyprus Airlines in 1974 then to Bavaria in 1976, to Monarch Airlines the same year, BIA-British Island Airways in 1985. Leased to Ryanair UK in 1990. Merged into London European Airways in 1990 then transferred to Ryanair in 1991. Sent to British World Airlines in 1994 then sent to Nationwide Airlines in 1995. Stored @HLA and broken up in 2005. Monarch BAC 1-11-500 at Luton airport August 1981

A busy 1978 scene at Gatwick. BCAL 111-500 G-AYOP has just pushed back with a company 111 and G-AXYD from Dan Air in the back ground. A British Airtours 707-436 G-APFJ is just about to roll with another G-APFG on stand. Completing the scene is a HS.125 parked up by the hangars.

Delivered new to Court Line as G-AYOP on 31Mar71. Returned to BAC 08Dec72. To BCAL 16Apr73. Merged into British Airways 14Apr88. To European Aviation in Dec92. To Savannah Airlines of Nigeria as 5N-BDV on 21Nov01. Presumed WFU by May02 and stored at Maiduguri by Apr04.

Delivered new to Court Line as G-AXMK on 17Apr70. Leased to AVIATECA as TG-ARA on 23Nov70 and returned to Court Line on 06Apr71. Leased to LIAT as VP-LAK on 22Nov71 and returned to Court Line on 02Jul72. Leased to Germanair 21May74 and returned to Court Line on 31Oct74. Bought by Dan-Air on 29Jan75 and reregistered to G-BCWA. To British Air Ferries 12Nov92, was to be reregistered to G-OBWI but ntu. WFU and stored at Souhend in Nov92 and broken up.

Created as Autair International in the 50's, she's became Court Line in 1970 where passed to jet aircraft with BAC111. All where painted in different c/s as this one in pink. Taken @ BHX during January 1970 by an unknown photographer.
