An amazing Pareidolia found back from an old camera card,spotted in West Zealand,in the swampy woods,just in front of the Baltic Sea.

A great surprise, showing how she was already deeply Pareidolian 11 years ago.

Candlelit Light Painting Still Life
Painted with the light of a flame by handhandling and moving a candle.
Shot with a long exposure in darkness, subject illuminated just by candlelight.
(Some still candles can be seen, reflected on the glass bowl which has been backlighted with another candle).
The Camelias, just fallen from the plant of a neighbour, have been submerged in tap water, those on top of the glass bowl, are wet.
This is one of my four works that I've used to compose my work 'Inferno Quattro' ( visible at this link: [Dissection] )

Another photo of the same Saint Michael defeating the demon statue and sculptural group (see previous flic.kr/p/2pYh5LY),
seen from another perspective and backlighted up against the sun. It's located on one side of the Lutheran Church Sct. Mikkels Kirkes.
Lots of efforts to clone out the surrounding houses to better appreciate the style and silhouette. The clouds are untouched.
Amazing how the head of the demon can't be seen from any sides it's watched ...
The Archangel is missing the spear, he seems to not need it to emerge victorious. And ...
See the sky and the clouds, open into a "V" shape... Yes, Michael the Archangel, Victorious !!

I believe, hell is where there is a flaw (i.e. a section) a space through which evil can enter. Therefore, between the interstitial fences
(or cage spaces)💡, I added more material, didn't let them empty to not let it in ;-) With a 'dissection', I try to fill the empty spaces.

For this Abstract, I applied my personally conceived Light Painting by Candlelight technique, photographing some Camelia flowers underwater in darkness, painting them with the light of a candle and, from 4 different shots, I made my creativity fly.
I used several multiple long exposures, then I begun to digitally paint, trying to obtain some interesting bas-relief+3D effects.
In the end, I could not choose, so I decided to make an even more engaging Abstract work by using portions of all my 4 works.
I don't very much like the colour red, but this was the main colour due to the Camelias of a fire red!
Profondo Rosso, the famous movie by Dario Argento, the Inferno of the magistral Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri...
This is Inferno Four, enjoy the hot mood 😉

💡Big thanks to my new Friend T.rubblemaker, he he, who helped me focus and nail my Concept with his kind critique:
"Interference patterns of lava flow and fire, trapped behind, or maybe protected by the bars of a cage. Melting gold bullion
and cool gray stone are the highlights".

Be confident hell is very icy cold, at least for how I imagine it, so, this Inferno is maybe a limbo ? :-)

Inferno Quattro XL VM def

Light Painting
I shot in my in-door studio the last of the 3 Iris flowers which blossomed for the first time in my garden (see previous up-loads shot out-door). Here I handheld a candle to paint and highlight some parts of the flower and photographed it during a long exposure.

I'd have many more photos on Iris but 'Parcae, quòd minime parcant' :-)

Fujifilm X-S1 camera, Fujinon 24/624 held in manual mode.

This variety of Iris flowers have upright petals called "standards" and cascading petals called "falls". Running down the center of each fall is a “beard” that resembles a flame or even a furry caterpillar.
Besides the 3 sort of beards, I find very interesting & peculiar the zebra patterns & the texture of the petals, especially the 3 'falls' ones, looking like leather or even shantung silk. The bright yellow petals in the very centre reassemble golden tongues or, again, vivid flames of a flickering candle. Each of those inner petals -actually lobes- hosts and protects a single stamen.

Colours are yellow, some orange, a wine coloured optical animalier pattern, similar to zebra & lots of brown/burgundy tones.
Super Macro photographed out-door in natural light (with my Fujinon 24/624 'telescopic' + hyper Macro lens).
I hope I could render its intricated details. More in my Album in progress 'Callas, Iris & Amaryllis studies'

This diptych shows a variety of Bearded Iris,
grown in my garden for the very first time, that is more in the brown/burgundy/wine colours with great touches of deep yellow.

Left: it can be seen two of its three cascading petals called "falls" and two of its 3 beards (centre and left) as well as all the 3 upright petals called "standards", plus one of the 3 central lobes (sort of yellow flames) which host and protect one stamen each.

A fraction of my huge bonsai of Wisteria, that last April for the very first time blossomed completely, instead of the few flower clusters as in the previous years.
A flowering of a bonsai is always a special event and may need many years of patience. This tree is about 30 years.
Photographed in contre-jour at sunset in my garden. There's a bumblebee, hiding from my camera.

A purple flower in the family of lilium (lilies). Botanically it belongs to the family of liliacee and is named 'Muscari comosum' and also 'Leopoldia comosa'. Italian endemic plant. In common language, these plants and their fruits are known with various interesting names: giacinto comoso, erba dell'amore, nazareno, lampagioni, cipollacce turchine, cipolle canine, cipollacci col fiocco, giacinti col pennacchio, lampascioni and pampascioni, this last in the native dialect of the Region Puglia of which they are an autochthonous species.

...Or "Pampascione" ( or, better, Pampasciune) from the original idiom of Lecce (Puglia, Italy) from where I imported the little sort of onions to have the privilege to eat them (rare gourmet slow+food only available on the spot, we would say 'at zero Kilometer' in Italian).
Planted some, two years ago and, unexpectedly, they popped-up recently and bloomed fantastic little umbelliform flowers in the shape of an upside-down umbrella. To learn the correct botanical name, see next post flic.kr/p/2pQRYhw

The onions of these plants don't absolutely taste like onions, they are kinda bitter and delicious if eaten roasted with meat or even alone. This is an autochthonous specialty of the Region Apulia, very strange they could grow at Alpine latitude but that makes me happy to have them now in my yard.
The photo: these flowers are very thin and tiny. A super macro shot with my very versatile Fujifilm X-S1 that can capture both the moon and the smallest ent. Natural out-door light.
Occasionally, a bokeh came out too, not passionate of histeric bokeh but this one seems to me acceptable as not too messy.
The 'bubbles' are just reflections on the dirt, that's all :-)

Shot in darkness and painted by highlighting portions of the composition moving a handheld candle. Monochrome rendering.

I've been gifted some amazing callas. While shooting them via my newly appointed Candlelit Light Painting technique,
in their different shapes & positions, they started whispering a story and I truly saw them as they were personified,
dialoguing with each other.
This photo is the step 4: After a couple hugged (step 1), a third element enters the ménage...Captivating, trasgressive thoughts...A timid approach (step 2 called "Wonderful thought" where a calla touches the 'third'). Step 3: "I wish, I wish not, but...If you want..."
But, then, one walks away, -arms folded- expressing his will to not play with them anymore. The central element gives him the shoulders.

I didn't arrange the flowers to act a part, they just suggested me their anthropomorphic look & feel while I was shooting and especially when I watched the photos. What a Pareidolia! ( Have some fun in my PAREIDOLIA Album :-)

All 7 Callas painted handling a candle during a long exposure in darkness.
Most difficult shot in this series as I have been willing to equally illuminate all and each single flower
while framing and keeping them all in sharp focus. I only use manual modality.
