Date stone on the tower of former town hall of Amstelveen.
The tile tableau with numbers is placed in a sunken area with decorative brickwork all around.
The facade of the building is executed in neo-Gothic style with some Art Nouveau elements, especially in the tower.
This building was used as a town hall till 1980 when the new housing was inaugurated.
After 1982 the building was converted into a modern office building by architect John Webbers.
Note the four symbols in the corners of the tableau.
