This is in Menominee, Michigan, up on the U.P.
Do you like cross-gabled jerkinhead roofs!
FOLLOWING A REVIEW of Menominee city directories, I estimate that the building was built in the mid-1920s. It is not listed in the 1924 directory. In the 1926 directory, it is identified as the Menominee Oil Company Service Station.
In the 1938 directory, it is listed as the Barstow Oil Company filling station. In the 1946 and 1953 directories, it is listed as the Evans Service Station. I hope you have enjoyed learning the results of my research.
I refuse to occupy the building until rows of bollards have been installed on all sides, to prevent cars from crashing into it.
