Loading at stand E for a 34 to Hunstanton (via the QEH) Lynx Optare Tempo 27, YJ60 KBF, was built for Transdev Lancashire United and is more conservative than its radical Transdev Yellow Buses cousins.
Utilising its brand new jet black entrance way with manual ramp (since the electric ramps caused the floors to rot) 27 embodies 43 passenger seats; mostly absorbing, relaxing, cantilevered Esteban Civic V3s - now crowned with Lynx's blazing orange headrests - with complementary soft touch infills behind the social seating and triangular metal draft excluders but dark interior, stingy front grab rail provision and combined wheelchair/buggy bay, 27's plush and perfect for longer routes like the Coastliner.
The front 'restoration' has renewed 27, creating an ace bus! (Though feel the driver AC should be reinstated!)
Refreshing blue FD54 JYA, earliest remaining production Tempo, displays route 34 at the drop off point; commonly though Lynx drivers prepare the destinations for their next run back at the Train Station.
Resting in Lynn Bus Station between Coastliner runnings is one of (62) Coastal Red's first brand new, bespoke buses.
Ready to grab the 36 by the horns and pounce on the hunting grounds of Fakenham, these are Lynx's first Coastliner double deckers (needed as the Tempos can get packed) and first Cummins powered vehicles in the main fleet.
These flagship buses have happily received Lynx's customary attention to detail; emblazoned inside with a strikingly warm red-yellow moquette - conjuring images of African grasslands and big cats - upholstering high, enveloping seats with leather(ette?) edging, brandishing built in grab handles, USB outlets and bell pushes, with no extraneous grab rails upstairs under beautifully large, immersive skylights over cool flooring.
A bit of a muddle with vinyls has led to this one not gaining its 'spots' just yet
