gateway saguaro

I've lived in saguaro cactus country more than five years. It's time I took an image of one.

Erected in 2009 as part of a public art project; designed by Dirk Arnold in the style of the vintage neon signs of the 1940s-60s. The 30-ft tall sculpture is situated on the "northern gateway" of the Old Pueblo.

la siesta motel, est. 1941

Tucson, Arizona
