Majlis perayaan yang berlangsung selama 2 hari itu dirasmikan oleh Menteri Besar Terengganu ketika itu, YAB Dato' Seri Amar Diraja Tan Sri Haji Wan Mokhtar bin Ahmad pada hari Jumaat 27 September 1996 bersamaan 14 Jamadilawal 1417H bertempat di perkarangan sekolah berkenaan.
