D8 ‘Penyghent’ has just arrived at Rowsley South with the 14:25 freight from Matlock Riverside. Meanwhile the two car class 108 DMU made up of 52062 and 51950 are about to form the 15:30 to Matlock.
During the Twin Peaks Gala at Peak Rail (and the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway) 44004 'Great Gable' and D8 'Penyghent' stand at Rowsley South whilst running round the stock for a return to Matlock. The previous day had been the first day the two surviving Class 44s had worked together in preservation.
During the Twin Peaks Gala 09001 approaches Darley Dale with a Rowsley South - Matlock demonstration freight.
