Throwback vibes with a twist of irony! Here’s the General Motors Class 071 engine, rocking its retro orange livery like it’s straight out of the 80s—back when CIE trains were basically Ireland’s version of a tangerine dream.

This beauty was spotted on engineering workings, which, let’s be honest, most commuters loathe for the delays (sorry, Karen, you’ll get to work… eventually). But for us train nerds? It’s a rare treat to see this nostalgic beast in action, hauling history down the tracks.

Who needs a time machine when you’ve got this orange slice of the past chugging along—disrupting schedules and stealing hearts since the 70s!

Northern Ireland Railways General Motors class 111, 8112, makes its epic trip down from York Road depot to Dublin Connolly, seen above passing Clontarf Road Dart Station, while DART 8603 heads towards Howth.

Northern Ireland Railways were attending the upcoming CIE Inchicore open day on Saturday 7th May 2022, celebrating the Iarnród Éireann Inchicore 175th Anniversary.

NIR are also sending down a modern 3 car CAF set.

When Carla first started using me to create images of her, she said that her business increased more than double after she used the images to promote herself on social media sites. Now that she's at a new barber shop, she wanted to create new images to promote herself again. She said she wanted to create something "edgy" and I think we did. She did great! The Vanity Club Events Committee decided to change the venue of the group's fall Soirée from Atlanta to the Darcy Hotel in Washington, DC for this year! ...And the attendance was the largest ever for a Soirée! We all had a marvelous time too! I had the opportunity to meet many of our new sisters, party and chat with other dear friends!

I have to thank Cassandra Storm for taking our group picture using my camera! She's a great photographer!
I also have to give a huge Thank You to the hotel staff who were, each & every one, so welcoming and accepting of our presence! They were Absolutely Fabulous!
