The other day, The Boss and I headed into downtown Grimsby, Ontario to pick up a few things for lunch and in the process passed by the local post office which, some three-months-plus later, still sported some blue chalked graffiti of a Christmas tree and also a blue poinsettia (?) on a pair of the exterior building cladding panels. Does this qualify as public art? – JW

Taken using a hand-held Nikon D7100 fitted with a AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm 1:3.5-5.6 lense set to 52 mm, ISO220 (Auto ISO), Matrix metering, Daylight WB, Shutter Priority Mode mode, f/5.0, 1/250 sec . PP in free, Open Source RAWTherapee from Nikon RAW.NEF source file: set final image size to be 9000px wide, crop to 5:7 format by cropping off a bit of the left side, apply Tone Mapping at default levels, apply Haze removal at slightly less than default settings, apply some perspective correction to reduce keystoning, use the Graduated Neutral Density tool rotated to cove the bottom left diagonal corner and then darken that area to reduce its brightness, brighten overall by setting Exposure Compensation to EV+0.89, slightly reduce overall contrast, apply a little Haze Removal, slightly increase Vibrance, enable Soft Light, sharpen (edges only), save. PP in free Open Source GIMP: use the Curve tool to lift/brighten the top 25% of the curve while holding the lower portion at default level, sharpen, save, scale image to 6000 px wide, sharpen, save, add fine black and white frame, add bar and text on left, save, scale image to 3000px wide for posting online, sharpen, save.
