- This picture was taken when the Canadian Forces were stationed at this camp 1953 - 1970. Then taken over by The 1st Battalion The Royal Irish Rangers in 1970 .. i was in the advance party 1970 from Gaza Lines in Catterick for the change over, my 1st job next day was to put up directions to our camp on lamp posts in the towns of isherlohn, hemer and menden - 4 -
i was billeted in the 3rd block down on the front row, front door is facing drill square 1970, 1974.
