This is the sixth 'World of' puzzle from Laurence King Publishing that we've done so far: there are several more available but not all are of interest to us (James Joyce springs to mind).
Found in a charity shop, the box was badly damaged (and repaired) on its base, so Mike asked if we could inspect the contents before purchase; the pieces were loose inside but the guide poster was present so we took a chance and bought it.
I'm so glad we did: it was a fun 'make' and was complete - with no damage to the pieces.
Sindy: Oh Hattie! Did you eat all my macarons?
Hattie: It wasn't me! Honestly. You can hear it directly from the horse's mouth. Tell her Sir Lancelot.
Sir Lancelot: She ate them.
Hattie: ... no, what? He lies.
Sindy: That's just it with horses. They can't tell fibs.
Hattie: Oh bother! I should have gotten the bunny instead.

Sir Lancelot - the surprised pony
Snow White: Alright my little minions. Are you all set for some good natured cleaning?
Minions: *Mumble, mumble... rather work the mine... cough*
Snow White: Hang on. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6..... where's 7?
No. 7: Hi Ho here I am! I was just fetching another deer. Oh, what's with the glum faces?
No. 1: It's cleaning day. Again.
Snow White: How about a song while we clean? AaaA ah ha HA!

Sindy as Snow White
Special appearance by Sir Lancelot the bewildered pony
Maddie: (back) Are you sure that's a real magical reindeer?
Hattie: (front) Of course I'm sure.
Maddie: Then why doesn't he fly?
Sir Lancelot: (magical reindeer -not a pony with branches on its head) Yes why don't I Hattie? ...Is that snow?
Hattie: Because... the pine cones are too heavy.
Maddie: Isn't he used to pull a fat man?
Hattie: Snrk!! Yes, but then there's nine of them.
Sir Lancelot: There's NINE of me?!

_____________
I made two themes in one today for the Blythe a Day group.
Patch and her two new pets were scouting Cooperstown for a pony to add to the jolly crew. They had given up for the day when they finally spotted one.
Patch: Hey wait up!
Hattie: *Turing around* Oh, hello Patch!
Patch: I say, that's a splendid pony! Where did you find him?
Angus: (Dog) No, no. He is way too small for you lassie.
Steve: (Cat) He is just the perfect size for an afternoon snack. *Licks his jaws*
Sir Lancelot: (Pony) Huh?
Hattie: There's a stable just around that bend where you can find lots of ponies and gigantic horses. Are your cat going to eat Sir Lancelot?
Patch: Excellent! Absolutely not. Bad kitty!
Steve: But he looks like a chicken nugget... with eyes.
Sir Lancelot: Pardon me, sorry to interrupt, but is that another of them leaves?
Patch, Steve: . . .
Angus: .... He's quite special ain't he?
Hattie: We call it "surprised".
Patch: Well he surprised me alright. So cute!

Patch's fashion by Du Didier. Though he didn't combine it like this.
Hattie was out walking Sir Lancelot; The Surprised Pony.
Sir Lancelot: Is that a leaf?!
Hattie: Yes. It's a leaf.
Sir Lancelot: What about that thing?
Hattie: Also a leaf.
Sir Lancelot: And..?
Hattie: A leaf.
Sir Lancelot: Upon my word!
You had to have a lot of patience walking the Surprised Pony, but a pony is a pony and Hattie loved him ever so much!
For many months of the year The Chiltern Open Air Museum put on special events to give their visitors some special shows. Over the weekend of 20-21 August in 2022, they asked The Cavalry of Heroes to their site.
The Cavalry of Heroes specialise in medieval displays of horsemanship, sword fighting and jousting. Present at the event was Thomas Cromwell and one of Henry VIII’s wives, Katherine Parr.
As part of the display we had two famous people; Henry VIII and Sir Lancelot. Also present for the sword fighting display was Sir Jammy Dodger. (These events aren’t taken too seriously!)
The Chiltern Open Air Museum is a fabulous location to help their thousands of visitors to see what life was like through the centuries; the oldest exhibit is an Iron Age barn, but there are lovely rebuilt houses and barns, a farm, a Smithy and much more to enjoy.
In mid-2022 they also opened a wonderful children’s playground too, and the kids love it!
Two websites you can visit to find out more…

Both these ‘sites will tell you more about their activities.
For those viewing the pictures I hope you enjoy them!
