Again, a side effect of black grouse lekking project. I have now spent enough mornings at the swamp that I am confident to say there isn't much lekking going on. Two last times I've been there, there have only been one male black grouse and no females. This might tell us a story about how rare these birds have gotten in southern Finland, when there isn't enough birds to keep all the lekking arenas occupied.
