Today one man died here at the festival of the Jallikattu in Allanganallur, you could disaprove this kind of festival of the farmers based on a long tradition but you could even more disaprove the danger on the roads here where busses and lorries maintain their daily Jallikattu, yesterday 114 people died in a bus accident near to Melur ....
In spain the bull has no chance, it has to die in the arena, at least here the challence between animal and men stays on a fair level, The one who can catch the bull by its hunch for a moment gets rewarded with presents as a bicycle, a television, a goat, a chicken, a chair, a bed and money up to 5000 Rps .... but most you get honnered as a winnar !
If the bull can escape without being captured then the prize goes to the owner of the bull. The bull was covered with purple powder, a habit here to use this holy colors also on animals like chickens, dogs, goats .... and it makes this bull more impressive.
Being here, it's fun, it's overcrowded, it's sensational but most ... all are in a good mood, a festival mood !
