Before I was primarly a documentary photographer, i tried to take more artistic pictures. I lost a lot to obsessive compulsive disorder. Fetch Your Own Damn Paper was a lot more popular the first time I uploaded it, but was and still is a personal favorite.
The second Krampus Photoshoot At Whitby Abbey in 2024 was on Thursday 17 Oct. The plan was to take some promotional shots in the Abbey grounds as part of the build up to the 10th anniversary of the Whitby Krampus Run, and also to incorporate the Abbey into the forthcoming events. The idea was to take photos and video based around a theme and to craft the beginnings of a tale of good (the peasant girl protected by St Hild) versus evil (the Krampus demons). We had originally hoped for a misty or overcast day to enhance the sinister aspect and the feelings of foreboding, but it was a gloriously sunny Autumn day and so we had to work with that!
