In downtown Norwalk, Ohio, on June 16th, 2024, was Norwalk Municipal Court at the southwest corner of Railroad Street and North Linwood Avenue.

The access portal between the station platform and headhouse is being widened slightly by removing some concrete and rebar, which is part of the original slurry wall between both structures.

Sparks fall from a man basket where two workers cut away exposed drill casing segments, in the massive arched structure where the station cavern opens into the headhouse.

Ventilation equipment is checked at 4th and Freelon, while workers conduct final sewer installation work underground.

A crew installs large-diameter ventilation ducts inside the side drifts to maintain proper airflow and air quality.

A large opening has been constructed between the south end of the station headhouse and the right side drift of the south platform cavern. This opening will eventually become part of an emergency egress route at the south end of the station.

Work to excavate the top heading of the entrance archway into the future station cavern is more than half complete.

A warning sign is posted to maintain proper safety procedures at the entrance to the north access shaft.
